The obituary notice of Charles A. Llb Llm STEVENS

Charles was a wonderful man .
He taught me European Law on the GDL course many years ago.
He was one of the few lecturers that actually had time for you.
He helped me out a great deal and it was never a hassle to see me to explain any thing that confused me about EU law and at that time there was alot.
However in the end I passed with 70 something percent… and that was due to hard work but most importantly a lecturer who always had time to sit down and go through anything got to do with his subject.
After that me and Charles became good friends and I would often see him socially .
The last time I saw him was at a social gathering at the Regency Hotel on New Year’s Eve, he looked happy and that’s how along with all the other fond memories I will remember Charles, and the fact he gave me a bottle of his yummy cherry beer.

May your soul rest in peace and happiness Charles you sweet kind man.

I would like to offer my most sincere condolences to the family and friends of Charles Stevens.

I worked with Charles at De Montfort University and have very fond memories of chatting with Charles about everything from his travels abroad to the legal profession. He was very well liked by staff and students. My condolences to his family.

I am a law professor from France (Chambéry). I have known Charles Stevens for nearly 15 years. I gave lectures at De Montfort University and Charles visited Chambéry on numerous occasions, teaching graduate students for many years. We supervised together a joint master program for three years. I am deeply saddened by Charles' passing and wanted to let his close ones know how he will be greatly missed at Savoie Mont Blanc University.
